THIS CLASS IS NOT FOR BEGINNERS

Whether you’ve completed your CCW and want to be ready to carry your firearm, the next step is to learn to access your gun in a safe and efficient manner, no matter where you have it stored.

In this class, you will learn the basics of drawing from a holster. This class begins in the classroom with practice guns and includes laser shooting. Our instructors will teach proper techniques with an emphasis on safety using handguns with double action and a safety.

Being effective with your handgun in a defensive situation begins with being able to efficiently and safely access and present it. There is no better time to learn the techniques, develop the skills, and gain the confidence needed to effectively use your handgun for defensive purposes, than BEFORE you actually NEED to use it.

Basic Rifle Marksmanship

Much like our Introduction to Handgun class, Basic Rifle Marksmanship is a basic introduction to rifles, covering semi-automatic rifles and carbines, common types of ammunition, fundamentals of marksmanship and rifle maintenance.

Our Firearms Training Instructors will explain all parts and functionality of a rifle (carbine and bolt action) platform. Students will learn proper terminology, nomenclature and the fundamentals of Platform, Grip, Sights and Trigger.

After a brief classroom instruction, students will hit the range and begin taking part in some basic rifle shooting drills, all done under the supervision of one of our Firearms Training Instructors. After the range portion, we will go back in the classroom to cover maintenance and recommendations.

This is the perfect class for new rifle shooters, or for the individual that hasn’t shot their rifle in some time and wants to get reacquainted with proper shooting skills. If you are interested in eventually taking one of our more advanced tactical rifle courses, this is where you start.

After completion of the Basic Rifle Marksmanship class, students will be able to load a magazine and apply the fundamentals of rifle marksmanship and be able to zero a rifle at 25 yards.

*This class has a caliber restriction of 7.62X39 or smaller. * If you do not have your own rifle, please let us know ahead of time.
